Who we are
KUNI is an AI receptionist service operated by KUNI Inc. (the “Service,” “we,” or “us”). Contact: hello@hellokuni.com.
What we collect
To be drafted by counsel. Anticipated categories:
- Customer account data — business name, contact email, business profile information you provide when requesting access.
- Call + message content — transcripts of calls, SMS, and WhatsApp conversations handled by the AI receptionist on behalf of customer businesses, used to operate the Service and improve receptionist performance.
- Caller identifying information — phone numbers and basic metadata of people who contact customer businesses through KUNI.
- Payment metadata — for payments collected via Stripe Checkout, KUNI never sees card details; we only record the fact that a payment occurred and its amount.
- Usage + telemetry — standard web analytics, error reports, performance metrics.

Healthcare customers (HIPAA)
For customers in healthcare verticals (medical offices, dental practices), we will enter into a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before processing any Protected Health Information. Final language to be drafted by counsel.
SMS / text messaging
If you give your mobile number to a business that uses KUNI — by telling KUNI’s receptionist during a call, or by submitting it on that business’s web form — you may receive SMS text messages from or on behalf of that business. These may include reservation and appointment confirmations and reminders, return-call notifications for missed calls, secure payment links, business location and driving directions, and replies to messages you send.
- No sharing for third-party marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information collected for SMS is used only to deliver the messages described above.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with the business.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out anytime. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or email privacy@hellokuni.com.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You provide consent to receive texts verbally to the AI receptionist or via a web-form checkbox before any messages are sent, and you can withdraw it at any time using STOP.
