SMS Terms & Consent

This page describes the SMS text-messaging program operated by CaptivCode LLC under its KUNI brand (“KUNI,” “we,” “us”). By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to receive texts as described below, you consent to these terms.

The program & message types

KUNI sends transactional text messages to people who contact a business that uses KUNI as its AI receptionist. Messages relate to your interaction with that business and may include:

  • appointment and reservation confirmations, reminders, reschedules, and cancellations;
  • return-call notifications when a business missed your call;
  • business location and driving directions;
  • secure payment links; and
  • replies to questions you text to the business.

How you opt in (consent)

We only send texts to people who have given prior express consent. You provide consent in one of two ways:

  • Verbally or in chat, during your interaction — when you give your mobile number to KUNI’s receptionist to book or manage an appointment, the receptionist tells you it will text you the confirmation and details, and you agree to receive them.
  • By web form — when the business collects your number on a form, the form includes a consent checkbox with the disclosure shown below, unchecked by default.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. The consent language presented to you is:

Frequency, cost & how to stop

  • Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the business.
  • Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop all further texts. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.
  • Help: reply HELP, or email privacy@hellokuni.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the messages described above. See our full Privacy Policy.
